Toledo Bend Lake Country | Sabine Parish Tourist Commission
Destination Website Coordinator
Do you love storytelling, tourism, marketing, and digital media? Toledo Bend Lake Country is seeking a Destination Website Coordinator to assist with the redesign and redevelopment of our destination marketing website.
This project-based contract position will work closely with our selected marketing agency to help create a modern, user-friendly website that inspires travelers and showcases everything Toledo Bend Lake Country has to offer.
Responsibilities Include:
- Reviewing and updating website content
- Assisting with rewriting content for improved search visibility and AI-generated search results
- Ensuring tourism listings and information are current and accurate
- Reviewing website functionality, navigation, and overall visitor experience
- Providing input on design, storytelling, and content organization
- Verifying links, pages, and digital assets before launch
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in marketing, communications, tourism, public relations, or digital media preferred
- Strong writing and organizational skills
- Knowledge of Toledo Bend Lake Country required
- Experience with SEO, AI-assisted search tools, and WordPress is a plus
Position Details:
- Independent contractor position
- Estimated 3-month project timeline
- Compensation up to $5,000, based on experience

Destination & Event Assistant
Do you enjoy meeting people, supporting community events, and promoting local attractions? Toledo Bend Lake Country is seeking a Destination & Event Assistant to support visitor services, tourism events, and destination marketing efforts.
This position is ideal for a current high school senior or college student interested in tourism, hospitality, marketing, communications, or event planning.
Responsibilities Include:
- Welcoming visitors and providing information about local attractions, restaurants, lodging, and recreation opportunities
- Assisting with tourism events, festivals, tournaments, and community promotions
- Helping update social media platforms, website content, event calendars, and tourism listings
- Assisting with brochures, visitor materials, and promotional items
- Supporting general office and visitor center operations
Qualifications:
- Current high school senior or college student preferred
- Friendly, dependable, and organized
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Comfortable using social media and basic computer programs
- Interest in tourism, hospitality, marketing, or events is a plus
Position Details:
- Part-time position
- Flexible scheduling around school commitments
- Occasional evenings and weekends required for events
- Starting pay: $10 per hour
