KTBS Community Caravan host Rick Rowe with Toledo Bend Lake Country

During the last week of January and into the first week of February, the Sabine Parish Tourist Commission and Wildwood Resort brought KTBS Community Caravan through Toledo Bend Lake Country. Tuesday, January 27, 2024 Tasty Tuesday
The area's family owned and operated premium homemade ice cream shop, Tasty Treats on the 'Bend, was highlighted for their delicious and unique treats. The owners, Rick and Kim Tuttle, showed KTBS viewers how their ice cream is made and shared their family business story.

Wednesday, January 31, 2024 ArkLaTex Made
During the week of this Community Caravan, Toledo Bend Lake Country was also hosting Major League Fishing professional anglers for their season opener of the Bass Pro Tour. Justin Cooper, first-time Bass Pro Tour participant and local Toledo Bend fishing guide, visits with Rick Rowe about his time as a professional angler, a local guide, and the upcoming season.

Thursday, February 1, 2024 Behind the Badge
Each week, KTBS highlights the selfless work of area first responders. This time, Rick Rowe shined the light on a policeman in Many, La who was in one of the biggest drug busts in history in the area.

Thursday, February 1, 2024 Community Caravan Lunch
After a week of exploring what Toledo Bend Lake Country has to offer, the caravan crew & friends gathered for lunch at Curtis Grocery. Curtis' is a local favorite and unique lunch spot for travelers as it is considered a 'Gas Station Eats' stop along the No Man's Land Gas Station Eats Trail, read more about the trail here. Lunch was delicious as usual and the new owner, Amy Johnson, was delighted to share her passion for good food and service with those who came.

Major League Fishing Bass Pro Tour
Since Rick and the KTBS Community Caravan Crew were visiting the area during the MLF Bass Pro Tour, Rick got to join Toledo Bend Lake Country for the morning boat launch and interview a few of the pro anglers.
