North Toledo Bend State Park- The Dogwood Trail Nature Walk is a 1 1/2 mile interpretive loop. A four mile hiking trail winds through the forest.

South Toledo Bend State Park has a 3,000 foot surfaced nature trail near the Visitor Center called the Lakeview Trail. The Eagle Nest hike is behind Cabin 19 and there is also a Hippie Point Hiking Trail.

Cypress Bend Golf Resort and Conference Center-has a nature walking trail as well, which offers steep terrain, several scenic rest areas to sit, reflect on nature or read, and a bench by the water

Kisatchie National Forest (about 45 minutes to an hour drive from Toledo Bend Lake)

Sabine National Forest- The 28-mile Trail Between the Lakes hiking trail extends from Lakeview Recreation Area on Toledo Bend Reservoir to Highway 96 near Sam Rayburn Reservoir. In addition, many miles of roads that go through the woods are open to bicycles and horseback riders. Hiking is at its best in the early spring and fall when the forest is filled with blossoms and colorful leaves. Office- (409) 625-1940
