You’re going to need fuel for the fun day ahead, so you might as well try the hashbrown bowl or biscuits and gravy while you’re there too. Locals have said it’s some of the best breakfast they’ve ever had… that must be why their slogan is good food done right!
Make a Splash at Toledo Bend Family Adventure Park
Kickstart your memorable weekend this summer at Toledo Bend’s newest attraction, Toledo Bend Family Adventure Park. The kids can make their splash on the thrilling water slides or the splash pad, and parents can splash (or relax) in the lazy river. Parents can even treat themselves to a frozen beverage or two. You’ll be in a brand new, clean facility with shaded cabanas and excellent customer service.

It’s no secret that swimming in the sunshine can work up your appetite, and what says summer in the south like juicy BBQ? We recommend a local favorite, Shannon’s Butcher Block in Many, where you’ll find a variety of ways to eat this mouth-watering, tender beef. The portions are generous, so you could even save your leftovers for dinner!
Cool Off With a Tasty Treat
Nothing will put a smile on your children’s face like a stop for ice cream! We have the best, creamiest homemade ice cream shop right in the heart of Toledo Bend Lake Country. You must visit the family owned and operated Tasty Treats on the Bend and try it for yourself! It’s the perfect way to cool off after an exciting day in the sun.
Unplug and Unwind
One of the best parts about a vacation in Toledo Bend Lake Country is getting to relax in the middle of nature while watching the sun set over the lake. Here, you have many different lodging options to best suit you and your family. If your family is RV travelers, we have countless RV sites. You can also stay at Cypress Bend Golf Resort if you’re interested in a hotel, or fit your whole crew in a cabin at Wildwood Resort (conveniently located right beside Toledo Bend Family Adventure Park). You can’t beat their scenic views of Toledo Bend lake, or the bright green fairways at every hole. If golfing isn’t of interest to you, you can also pay a visit to their newly renovated spa for a little pampering.
Take The Road Less Traveled
After your morning on the course, get breathtaking views along the Toledo Bend Forest Scenic Byway that hugs the coastline of Toledo Bend Lake while heading to Curtis’ Grocery for lunch. Curtis’ is a gas station that also serves as a local-favorite lunch spot. We recommend trying their fried fish plate! Find plenty of charming stops along the way, including Clyde’s Crossing and the San Patricio Overlook, a roadside park and fishing pier.

If you hear the sounds of waves and the feeling of digging your toes in the sand in your dreams, then Pleasure Point Park is the spot for you! It’s one of the best kept secrets of the area.
