South Toledo Bend State Park South Toledo Bend State Park is located in Southern Sabine Parish off La. 191, 16 miles west of Anacoco. The site offers 19 vacation cabins, 55 RV campsites and 5 tent sites for overnight guests.

The Visitor Center, with a gorgeous view of the Toledo Bend Reservoir lake, includes an observation deck, nature center and meeting room. Guests can learn about local animal and plant life at the park’s Visitor Center, with programs and exhibits designed to increase awareness of these species and their role in the environment. Visitors can also enjoy the beach area and a 3,000-foot surfaced nature trail.

A two-lane boat launch provides entrance to a nationally-recognized destination for bass fishing tournaments; however, the Reservoir is also known for great catches of catfish, bream and white perch. For those less interested in fishing, the area also is a common nesting ground for the bald eagle, which feeds from the plentiful supply of freshwater fish found in the Reservoir, along with other species of bird.
