Sabine Parish Tourist Commission

Converse is the northern most town of Sabine Parish. The oil boom in the 1920's made Converse, a railroad town, the trading and shopping center of the area.

The 1920's oil bust, closely followed by the Depression took its toll, however. Today, the Converse community spirit has prevailed and visitors find it a small town with big heart.
