  • South Toledo Bend State Park offers a great fishing bridge with covered areas, a beach, and a Visitor Center with interpretive rangers that provide daily activities for children such as “Buggin” and Eagle Walks.  Displays in the Center offer wonderful learning opportunities.

  • Wildwood Lodge offers a bird aviary, six stocked ponds for children, 4 swimming pools, paddle boats, canoes, basketball and badmitten equipment, and lots of ducks to feed.

  • Cypress Bend Park offers a fishing jetty and pier, nice playground equipment and a beach area.  (Also known as SRA-LA site # 11 and formerly Twin Island)

  • North Toledo Bend State Park has a hiking and nature trail, swimming pool and playground.  Located off Hwy 191 nine miles southwest of Zwolle off La 3229.

  • Toledo Bend Dam, located on Hwy 191 South provides observation towers on the Texas and Louisiana side to view the dam, hydroelectric plant and spillway areas.

  • Fort Jesup State Historic Site has interpretive rangers on duty daily with varied activities on weekends.

    Fort Jesup, which plays a significant role in American history and offers lots of learning opportunities for youth, is located six miles west of Many on Hwy 6.

  • Adai Indian Nation Cultural Center Located at 4460 Hwy 485, Robeline, La., approximately 45 minutes from Toledo Bend Lake.  Large Indian displays, tee-pees and buffalo herds.  Open daily 9am-5pm;

  • Alligator Park is a five acre park with hundreds of alligators, feeding zoo, bird sanctuary, reptile habitat and jungle.  Take Hwy 6 west to I-49 North.  Follow signs.  Located approximately 1 hour from Toledo Bend Lake.  Open daily April 15 through Labor Day, then weekends only from Labor Day to October 15.  Hours 10am-6pm.

  • Veteran's Memorial Park has a military tank and helicopter and a small park area.  Children enjoy inspecting the equipment.

    Located just north of Toledo Town on Hwy 191.
