Located 45 miles north of Toledo Town on Hwy 191 to La Hwy 84
A beautiful drive north along the Toledo Bend Forest Scenic Byway to the Town of Logansport can be a pleasing half-day trip of shopping with a lunch treat. Logansport is a picturesque small town on the Sabine River which flows into Toledo Bend Reservoir.
The Logansport area has a one-of-a kind historical landmark. A granite shaft set into the ground on April 23, 1841 marks the only international boundary existing within the Continental United States.
Caraway's Store (in picture at right) has been in operation for over 110 years. It boasts an inventory from hardware to fine china. Of special interest is the kitchen section with selections dating from the 1920's to present.
Before leaving town, treat yourself to lunch or dinner at Logan's Landing on Main Street, or River's Edge.
