ATVing Toledo Bend ATVin Photo The Sabine River Authority of Louisiana's Cow Bayou Wilderness Area & ATV trail is located on the parish line between Sabine & DeSoto on the banks of Toledo Bend.

The park consists of approximately 200 acres of mixed pine/hardwood forest with seven miles of ATV trails.

The park is open to the public free of charge except for special 'rides'.

Cow Bayou Wilderness Area, located on the parish line between Sabine and DeSoto Parishes, is comprised of about 200 acres of mixed pine/hardwood forest. An eight mile ATV trail offering terrain for beginner and experienced riders, and a small boat launch site is available. Primitive camping is allowed. The park is open to the public free of charge, except for special rides.

Kisatchie National Forest, about 45 minutes to an hour drive from Toledo Bend Lake offers Off-Highway Vehicle Trails. The Kisatchie Ranger District's Sandstone Trail is seasonally closed from January 1st through March 30th of each year for renovations and repairs.
