Image While bass fishing is by far the most popular on Toledo Bend, other species such as crappie, bream, white bass, striper bass and catfish are in abundance.

The current bass lake record for Toledo Bend is 15.33 pounds. The 2006-2007 fishing season on Toledo Bend produced a record catch of 50 lunkers over 10 pounds each, caught during a 12-month period.

Toledo Bend Lake attracts numerous large fishing tournaments because of the abundant fishing and the well designed facilities available for these sporting events. Cypress Bend and San Miguel parks host over 35 major fishing tournaments each year.
